Rebecca Black!

      I feel I have an obsession with Rebecca Black. Not that she's super talented, and not that she's super terrible. Her song has as of now 107,530,724 views on youtube and the number is still growing with thousands of people listening to the song every second. 
I know I enjoy the song/music video for many reasons. The lyrics are terrible, the song is catchy and many youtubers are making parodies. I listen to the song probably about twice a week, but that's besides the point.
      The people who created Ark Music Factory are geniuses. They found a way to make millions without really even trying. I'll give you some examples. Please remember these are in MY opinion. You are more than welcome to disagree.
Example #1: All the songs have a similar beat and a professional in that field would take about 5 minutes to create the beats for the songs.
Example #2: The song lyrics are simple enough for a young child to write. I know quite a few children to have this example as a fact.
Example #3: All of the videos have a very 'cheesy' theme. They use the same theme in the editing software so all of the videos have the same text in them.       Now after watching that! Watch this beginning. Pay attention to the mirror, it's not hard because she's singing about it! In the corner you see her name, just like the calendar in the beginning of the Friday music video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvHeiPDa4rs
      Another thing. They claim on their website that they choose young, talented singers. Now, I'm not a talent scout, and I can't judge their singing because that's not my place to say something, but I will say they do use autotune, and perhaps the parents willing to cough up $2000 per music video had to do something with it.
      So, now I wonder if they think the $2000 was worth it....
